Welcome to raising birth DoulA care
The role of a Doula…
Our laboring foremothers had TRADITIONALLY been surrounded by a fellowship of supPort: mothers, aunts, sisters, grandmothers, friends and labor attendants. These birthing circles are disappEaring in our modern society, leaving parents on their own and OVERWHELMED with information. Instead of clinging to the intermittent medical staff, the work of a Doula is to help create that secure and intrinsic support.
